Grateful

this past wednesday night, a teacher from my high school was killed by a car running a red light while he was jogging across sheridan. it was really a freak accident caused by someone being too careless. he was 37 with 3 young kids.  i never had mr. dugan as a teacher but he was one of those teachers that who made impressions onto students so that they remember him long past high school.

                 

all this reminded me of one of my favorite songs, by destiny's child. its called "happy face" and it always keeps me in check whenever i get down about petty things. life is precious and shouldn't be taken for granted.
